Mattdedits is a Philadelphia-born creative with a passion for capturing unforgettable moments. He began his journey in 2019, photographing artists in the city’s buzzing nightclub scene. Through raw talent and relentless networking, Matt quickly made a name for himself, catching the attention of Lil Durk’s tour manager, Dan Arbelaez. This connection led to a breakthrough project: co-producing a documentary for Lil Durk alongside Nick Brady. Impressed by Matt’s work, Durk invited him to join the Back Outside Tour with Lil Baby and Coi Leray in 2021.
Juggling the chaos of tour life and his full-time studies at Drexel University, Matt became a master of balance. With classes stacked on Mondays, he would hop on the first flight out each Tuesday to reunite with the tour, producing content that found its way onto Complex, The Shade Room, and Heart of the Streets.
A chance backstage introduction at Powerhouse 99FM’s concert with Lil Durk led Matt to Moneybagg Yo, sparking a two-year collaboration as Moneybagg’s personal photographer. Matt traveled the world—London, Jamaica, The Bahamas, and beyond—while documenting everything from concerts to everyday life. His work includes the striking cover art for “Blow,” which now boasts over 40 million streams on Spotify.
One of Matt’s most celebrated moments came when Moneybagg Yo honored a promise to reward his academic success during Matt’s senior year at Drexel: $250 for every A, $100 for every B. The heartwarming story went viral, earning features on Complex, Rap TV, and more.
In 2023, Matt shifted gears, returning to Philadelphia to explore fresh creative avenues. Working with HQ2 nightclub reignited his love for visual storytelling, leading him to discover a passion for restaurant photography. Today, Matt blends his chic, refined aesthetic with his signature ability to capture the energy and soul of any scene.
